About Me.
Carletta S. Hurt is an educator, producer, and youth advocate, with over two decades of experience in education and supporting girls of color. She is an award-winning film producer and the former board president for Women in Film and Video - DC. A self-proclaimed SUDOKU champion, wordsmith at Scrabble and Words with Friends, she has worked as a teacher, administrator, and currently works as a school counselor in Washington, DC. Carletta is pursuing her doctoral degree; premiering her documentary, Clothed Minds; launching, Coaching Connections, a coaching platform for black girls as a 2021 Innovators of Progress Scholar, and facilitating social justice conversations with teens as a 2021 Vocal Justice Fellow.
